As a busy wife, mom, grandmother, and English teacher, I have always found art to be an outlet for my stress. Escaping into my creative world is necessary for my mental health and well being. Because of this, I have quite a hoard of handmade items! For years, my friends and family have encouraged me to sell my creations. I have always been very protective of my work, but in March of 2015, I finally gave in and opened an Etsy shop. My store's name, "Remembrances of Yours," comes from a quote in my favorite play, Hamlet by William Shakespeare.
I have always kept the things I thought I'd find useful someday, the tinier the better. I use the things I keep. Most of the time, these items have sentimental meaning to me. They are my "Remembrances." Each piece I create is unique and has at least one sentimental item attached, whether it be a tiny bead, a book page, or a special charm. In this way, my "Remembrances" become "Yours" - Hence, the name of my shop.

Not long after I opened Remembrances of Yours, I expanded it to include vintage items as well. I do not enjoy shopping, but each time my stock of remembrances ran low, I found myself scouring antique shops, thrift stores, auctions, garage sales, and the internet, looking for tiny treasures to inspire me. Before using my finds in my art, I researched each piece. My conscience wouldn't allow me to take something apart unless I knew its value. Before long, researching vintage items became a passion. My vintage section continues to grow.
